Alongside Audio Always, BBC Radio 5 Live has hosted an annual nationwide search to find a new commentary star aged between 11-15 years.

Managing the competition, Audio Always created a succinct strategy to not only find a winner but to bring a host of BBC networks together to promote the project.

We produced a range of content for all 5 live dayparts and worked with many departments to bring this competition alive on-air, online and across the BBC. This included integrating with the BBC Live Lessons team to offer children advice on how to commentate properly, using a Young Commentator Commentary Booth as part of social media assets delivered to 5 Live and creating an audio package for 5 Live Breakfast to encourage young boys and girls to give sports commentary a go.
