One Year of The Girls Bathroom

August 27, 2026

I’m Producer Ben, Content Director at Audio Always. I can’t believe it has already been a year since The Girls Bathroom joined the Audio Always Originals network and moved into a brand new (very pink) studio in Farringdon.

A new room, new look and new artwork to go alongside our new production duties. To celebrate the podcast joining us, we built a visual identity that could grow alongside Sophia and Cinzia themselves, and brought video, shorts and audio together into one coherent weekly release.

Some episodes have stuck with us more than others. The Coachella episode was recorded live from the festival. Zendaya sent us a question of the week. And the fan-favourite Christmas and Halloween specials, where hours go into prosthetics before a single word gets recorded, something we had no real idea about until we saw it happen in front of us.

Getting the podcast production right has given the girls space to build their brand beyond the bathroom. Whether it’s launching their own lifestyle brand, Rooms or opening the UK’s first Yochi store, partnering with us means that Sophia and Cinzia are able to let us handle the production.

We’ve also spent the year bringing in partners who fit what Sophia and Cinzia want from a commercial partner, including Deliveroo, Etsy and Dove. It’s already been a record year for revenue for the show and alongside brands that perfectly align with the show and its committed audience.

None of it means anything without the audience, and this year has been proof of how dedicated they are. The Patreon community keeps growing, and a shortlist for the British Podcast Awards’ Listener’s Choice, voted for entirely by listeners, is exactly the kind of proof point that matters most.

Thanks to Annisha Maraj, Izzy Ellis and everyone that’s worked incredibly hard on the pod. Here’s to year two! Hopefully even pinker than the last.
