BBC Radio Wales
January 2016
Share Your Welsh was designed to inspire, encourage and support Welsh learners by sharing simple words and phrases everyday, success stories from across Wales and helpful hints and tips to get listeners on the right track.
Dot Davies heard from many incredible Welsh learners proving that learning a new language amidst a busy lifestyle can be done. Whether they be like Hugh from Ellesmere who wanted to learn a language that harked back to childhood holidays or 99 year old Helena who is still winning awards for her Welsh at the National Eisteddfod.
Whilst our main aim was to reach out to BBC Radio Wales listeners, the campaign also stimulated activity across other areas of the BBC including S4C’s Dal Ati, Pobol Y Cwm, Radio Cymru and more.
As well as our work with Radio Wales, we produce content for the UK’s biggest broadcasters and platforms. Our team delivers daily, weekly and one-off radio shows and podcasts across a range of genres including music, entertainment, comedy, factual, news and sport. We also deliver commercial production and station sound, as well as offering studio hire at MediaCityUK.
